Rhythm, connection, flow, musicality, ability to improvise and interpret, able to adapt to their partner's energy in flow, ability to influence and communicate their style and execution through lead and follow.

If you could improve upon one thing in the New York Salsa scene, what would it be?:
That the hardcore dancers frequent the major clubs to support the musicians. Miss the elegance of those days.
What advice would you give someone just starting out in salsa?:
Be patient with yourself...and find an instructor who complements your salsa goals.
