Why Salsa?:
Salsa is the common denominator. Dance in general, brings all cultures, religion, ethnicities together. This is the power of dance/salsa !!!
How long have you been dancing salsa and what keeps you coming back for more?:
I've been dancing salsa now for 18.5 consecutive years
In addition to learning salsa, what else have you gained from the experience?:
Tremendous amounts of education traveling the world. More tolerance, more patience towards life, more love of life and grateful for what you have as compared to what's happening in the world.
What are the salsa No-No's when dancing with a partner?:
too many to list
If you could improve upon one thing in the New York Salsa scene, what would it be?:
getting the instructors to respect each other more. Expanding the networking among the "professional" salsa instructors. Instructors support instructors and simply just more respect for the individual achievements instead of the backstabbing and negative criticism that permeates the scene and never seems to end
What advice would you give someone just starting out in salsa?:
Love what you do, Do what you Love
