Chances are you've met me on the dance floor in the NY On2 scene. I enjoy dancing with partners of all levels and I don't think levels really matter. I think it's more about chemistry between you and your partner and how good of a lead you are. I like to make people laugh and smile when they dance so I'm a bit of a goof on the dance floor.

Making sure your partner is comfortable and having a good time. This means good communication, eye contact, smiling, and good technique. Oh, did I mention timing?

I like it when my partner can add something extra to the dance instead of just practicing mechanically perfect technique. Usually it's a certain flair, attitude, body motion, or how they interpret the music.

Why Salsa?:
I like that in Salsa, the man can spin as well as the woman. Also, Salsa is very sensual and fun, everyone always seems to have a good time.
How long have you been dancing salsa and what keeps you coming back for more?:
I have been dancing for over 5 years and the fact that I keep learning and progressing as a dancer keeps me coming back.
If you could improve upon one thing in the New York Salsa scene, what would it be?:
I think it's funny that people dance in the salsa community for years and really don't know each other very well. You find out years later what people do and what they like. It's part of the reason why I built this website so people can know each other a little better.
What advice would you give someone just starting out in salsa?:
Finding the right instructor is key to progressing rapidly.

I'm working on getting back to basics. Over the Summer last year I redefined my physique and lost 30 pounds. I also took up lifting weights and running. Having created this website I gained 5 pounds back from lack of sleep and being behind a keyboard many late nights. Overall, I believe you can achieve what you set your mind to.
